Photoshop Project
For my image editing project, I choose to create a personal logo for my portfolio to attract attention. I started my logo from a blank background. My first step was creating the initials for the logo using the Park Avenue font in black. To connect my initials, I used the liquefy tool to stretch the initials until they were connected. I changed the brush size twice in order to get the initials to connect correctly.
In order to create the background shape, I used the shape tool to include the grass shape. I changed the color to a dark purple and added a shadow effect. I duplicated the grass shape layer and flipped it horizontally to create a mirror image of the graphic. The last step was creating the rectangle background. To do this effect I used the shape tool and filled in the shape with a light purple to contrast the color of the grass shape.
The tools that I used to manipulate and create my image are liquefy, flipping horizontally, shadow effect, color tool, and the shape tool. The file format of the image that I used was JPEG because it is one of the most common formats used. It has high quality which will ensure the accuracy of the graphic and it also used when the graphic contains a wide variety of colors.
